Intilop Corporation a leading IP developer, customization/engineering services provider, today announced contract-development of the worlds first 100M/1G bps Ethernet Switch IP with embedded network security hardware and integrated 100/1G Ethernet MAC. The pioneering new silicon IP has many customizable features that can be programmed by customers based upon Network topology, network deployments, network traffic types, network traffic utilization. This IP will be integrated with many other silicon blocks in a large SOC that is target towards next generation of enterprise class ‘Secured intelligent Switches’. The IP core can also be optimized to provide a low-cost, high performance workgroup, and wiring closet layer 2 switching solution with 2 - 10Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2/4/8 - Gigabit ports or as many 100 Megabit ports. The flexible and scalable architecture allows it to be customized to meet differentiated features and performance requirements to meet customer’s specifications e.g. choice of PHY interface - XGMII or Serial, scalable packet FIFO size, scalable size of SA/DA Table, ageing/learning schemes, Search algorithms, QoS managing/monitoring, Mapping algorithms, support for Layer-3/4, Search features for Network security, support for management functions/interface etc.
